Care Instruction:
Soil and Moisture: Tree Lilac can be grown in any average, well drained soil, and will appreciate some organic matter. Even moisture while young and older specimens are quite tolerant of dry periods.
Fertilizing: No fertilizer is necessary, however a very light application of 10-10-10 fertilizer in the early spring is acceptable.
Pruning: Pruning is not necessary, simply cut away any broken or damaged branches early in the spring if necessary.
Special Notes: This species has a habit of flowering heavily one year, then lightly the next, in an alternating pattern with some specimens. This is not a health issue.
