Forsythia 'Spring Glory'
Forsythia intermedia x 'Spring Glory'
Fertilizing Code:04/20 to 04/21
Pruning Code:05/06 to 05/07

A compact, rounded variety with abundant pale yellow flowers in April, for a spectacular show. Habit of mature shrubs have a slight arching in the stems for a pleasant effect.

Care Instruction:
Soil and Moisture: Forsythia are adaptable to a wide range of soil types, doing well most anywhere other than boggy areas where water never drains away. When young, water regularly, mature specimens are drought
Fertilizing: An early spring application of a general 10-10-10 fertilizer is recommended. Water immediately after fertilizing.
Pruning: Prune back the old, thickest wood so the plant produces new stems, which bloom much better than old wood.
Special Notes: Forsythia stems are rather easy to "force" indoors for late winter bloom. Mid February, cut off stems with flower buds and place in water. Keep cool and humid, and change the water daily until bloom.
